Аннотация
On the example of several biographies of Chekhov, the present article focuses on four basic narrative strategies of the biography of the writer. Willingly or unwillingly, the biographer ends up resorting to at least one of them. The implemented strategy shapes and eventually transforms deeply the factual material of the biography.
